DP Square-Root Flow Scaling

Relate differential pressure to flow for a calibrated DP primary-element range using the square-root relationship.

Range scaling

Not a full orifice-meter flow calculation.

Field use

Verify square-root extraction.

Useful for checking transmitter or DCS scaling where the DP-to-flow range is already established.

Calculation basis

Q / Qmax = √(DP / DPmax)
DP / DPmax = (Q / Qmax)²

DP flow measurement depends on the primary element and process conditions. This tool only performs range scaling after DPmax and Qmax are already known.

Do not use this as an API/AGA orifice-flow calculation. Gas mass/standard flow requires additional inputs such as static pressure, temperature, fluid properties and primary-element data.
